The last 3 DVRs I have had would allow me to Fast Forward to a point and then automatically back up 5 or so seconds to make up for slow reflexes. My 8300HD does not allow for this, and I often overshoot the end of the commercial and have to reverse to get back to where I want to be. Is there any setting that would allow me to get around that?

My remote has a button that manually allows me to back up about 8 seconds. But, I think that you have to be in play mode, or the next button push may do something weird. The button looks like a half circle counter-clockwise arrow.
