While not a (much needed) price drop -- it's better than nothing.

lol, I guess it's bad if you already own these two games and just want a second PS3. Really, how can getting two fun games bundled in be bad fer a new purchaser? I would say with these two games they hit a wider audience than with any single game. These are also two of the new flagship franchises that aren't tied to a previous console, both have sequels that are generally well regarded, and they are both first party developed. If you want price drop its been fairly easy to find a store offering a $50 gift card with the PS3 or there is Dell where it has been had for as low as $319 of late.

This is not too bad bundle for first time purchasers. Both solid games even if they are release games. I'm surprised we don't see LBP or KZ2 bundles though here in the states.

It's a non-story that joystiq.com is trying to hype as some exclusive info. Retailers sell random bundles all the time... who cares? To my point, you can pick up this random bundle today at Fry's Electronics if you want:

Sony themselves also puts out at least a half dozen different bundles every year now it seems. It's not really news.

Yeah the lack of a KZ2bundle in the USA was odd.

Even in NZ we got them, and we're a small market. My guess is retailer stock in the US was to high post Christmas, and they weren't willing to take on new bundles back when KZ launched.

At Best Buy this week, you can take your pick of Killzone2, MLB09, or LittleBigPlanet for free when buying a PS3. Sounds like the best deal out there to me (short of the Sony Style CC option).

Used to be getting a great launch game or two was standard.

Once upon a time there was a theory going around that M-rated games would not be released in bundles because they were not family friendly. The MGS4 PS3 bundle and the recent RE5 360 bundles killed that theory......so I guess Sony was just not interested in making a KZ2 bundle.

Can I add to the list of shi**y budles?

Actually, this is more of an outright robbery of the consumer who might buy it...

Where are you seeing 2 HDMI ports ?

Main thing wrong with that bundle other than the steep price is its a Refurbished PS3.

I think Toys R Us still lets you build youre own PS3 bundle.

Its a BS bundle.

Sony confirmed that this bundle is only for Target stores. So this is hardly some big push to hook everybody (which is good, since it wouldn't), just trying to get Target shoppers to go "Oh golly, that PS3 sure is expensi-- oh it comes with two games? Okay."

Looking forward to the announcement of a new 'real' bundle or pricedrop at GDC.
