Unfortunately.......a long story. Purchased a Samsung 58" Plasma in Nov. 08Began losing HDMI signal on HDMI 1 thru 4 over one month period. Concerned about 45' HDMI cable run (burried in ceiling) as being too long. Purchased Monoprice equalizer (least expensive option & same place I purchased cable) to address loss / intermittent signal. No success. Four months later, only HDMI 4 input worked intermittently at best (but I did have a picture and sound). After four service visits and two boards later, seller decided to replace TV. Opted for Panasonic 58" TH-58PZ850U due to experience w/ previous Samsung. Connect my existing 45' cable, Panasonic has reddish / whiteout picture. Eliminated cable w/ 5' HDMI 1.3A cable. Everything works. Problem is 45' HDMI cable is buried in wall / ceiling. Do I install a more expensive / better booster / amplifier, or do I purchase a more expensive HDMI cable and deal with all the new cutting and patching. I've been dealing with this since Nov. 08. If I didn't conceal everything and wire in a 7.1 system / speakers to the central Denon receiver, I pull it all out and install a cabinet beneath the TV, but that is not an option at this point. I guess I should've kept it simple stupid, but I wasn't that smart. I appreciate any help, anyone has to offer.

Seems like you tried the obvious, easy things. But you are saying everything works fine at one point? With same setup as failure case(s)? If so, I can't think of anything that would "degrade" over time that would cause the problem.

This is why you install conduit rather than an HDMI cable only, or you pull some cat6 with it as well for backup. Through your testing it does seem like the cable isn't up to the task.

I had great luck with a 75 foot HDMI run with Blue Jeans best long run cable. On so easy to work with as it's thick, but I have had no probems at all.
