I have a Sony DVP-CX875P jukebox DVD player.

It is malfunctioning. The reader doesn't work so if you insert any DVDs, it doesn't recognize the DVDs.

I took it to a local electronics repair shop and they gave me an estimate of $250 to repair it (parts plus labor).

Now, I searched online and found that the DVP-CX875P are no longer in stock. There are a few used ones being offered on EBay and they range in price from $150 to $250 (the cost of my repair).

I could buy a newer DVD player and I did. I bought a Sony DVP-CX995P. Unfortunately, this newer model does not play recorded DVDs. The CX875P does so I'm stuck with trying to repair it or buy another one.

Is there a Sony repair center that handles repairs of their DVD players in the US? Anybody have their pertinent info?

Thanx!
