I need to find something that will allow me to stream through my Hauppauge HD PVR.... I am using a Video card from PC 1>PVR>USB PC 2 I thought it would be a simple matter of using either Windows Media Encoder or VLC or Sage TV which I usually use for this purpose . I am using Vista 64.

I can't get anything to work with the HD PVR.

Is there some info out there on Live Streaming Servers that will work with this unit?

I swear I've looked and tried about 50 different things so far, no luck.. in my idea world I would like to use VLC but I can't seem to find info on why I get this error :

Capturing failed:
The capture device "Hauppauge HD PVR Capture Device" does not support the required parameters.

I guess because its coming off hardware encoded there's some other step involved, but is there anything out there that will do what I need?

Thank you.

The HD PVR encodes all content in H.264 format not MPEG2 so you need a player that will decode H.264.
