Anyone have any ideas? It is for a kitchen, so I really don't want a boombox type look. It does not have to have incredible speakers, either, just something to get the job done while in the kitchen.

has worked fine in my kitchen. Speakers are decent. Listen to the radio too. Haven't had a problem with the CD player yet, but to be honest, I've only used it once. Mostly just listen to the ipod while we cook.

I've got one and use it every day. It's pretty amazing given it's cost. Aux input, USB jack, SD slot, CD, AM/FM Radio, iPod dock, Bluetooth, and decent remote control. You can use almost any media player you might have with it. It will rip songs from the CD to the SD or USB storage if attached. Audio quality is fine for a kitchen but has limited low end.
