Hi, I was interested to see what everyone thought was the best display to
watch mostly anime on. I tried searching the forums but was unable to find something on this topic.
The TV would be used 90% of the time for watching HD fan subs streamed from a PC via an HDMI cable.
Size wise, I’d be looking for something anywhere between 50 - 60 inches, that could be mounted on the wall.
I’d love to hear what everyone thinks about LCD vs. Plasma when it comes to anime, does it make a difference?

An LCD is probably going to provide the brightest/oversaturated picture plus anime looks great with Motion Flow\Amp and other post processing. I would buy a Kuro 5020 if I was you though. I love anime but what a waste of a TV man. Especially considering quality of most HD Fansubs.

Thanks for the reply :-D I'll check it out, other than anime I'd use it to watch baseball during the season. But sadly I don't have a lot of time for tv -_- So I have to restrict my watching to a few things I like. hehe

Samsung 6 series LCD with 120hz. The 120hz refreshwith automotion plus on low or medium will make your anime look wicked. 52inches. Moderatley priced.

I would agree with this LCD. Has the oversaturated colors but nice depth.

Is that what you mean when you say the Samsung 6 series?

Also, does the contrast make a difference when it comes to anime? 40,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio on the Samsung vs say a 1,000,000:1 for dynamic contrast on a plasma like the Kuro?
i think it's just going to turn into a classic plasma vs LCD discussion. My advice is to look at reviews on amazon and whatnot and make the decision for yourself. Either one is going to be fine. http://************************************/img/2464/i09b0128lrvx/smile.gif
