I have been thrilled with the performance of my kuro thus far, and I am glad I took the advice of some of the forum members and didn't cheap out and buy a vizio like a buddy of mine.

I might have made a mistake in my mounting decision but I wanted to see what you guys thought...

I wanted to make sure I cleared the fireplace to avoid heat damage, but I have noticed with a viewing distance of 10 feet, it seems a little high.

I was wondering if anybody knew where I might be able to purchase some type of sliding mount so I could lower the TV by 3-4 feet for couch viewing, and raise it back up for kitchen viewing from 20 feet away.
Remote controlled operation of the mount would be a plus...

Thanks for your opinions and advice...

Looking at your picture, i think you could build a sort of arch above the TV, supported by tall columns to the left and right of the fireplace. Then you could hang the TV on cables, hide pulleys inside the arch and counterweights inside the columns, and utilize a remote controlled reversible electric motor to raise and lower the display :)

Or - you could always do something like this gentleman did . . . . .
