Hello all,

This might seem like a silly concern but i was seriously considering a 111fd but noticed when watching a 2:35 movie, and using the zoom function to fill the screen it looks awful. Looks like it streches the picture vertically instead of cutting off the sides like the pansonics or samsungs.

I know a lot of purists will say you should just watch in 2:35 but i still prefer sometimes to cut off the sides and fill the screen.

Is there any way around this?? anything even in the service menu that could change it?

Boy i was really sold on the elite until i saw that.

Please help.

Thanks

So you're basing you purchase on zoom functionality? I guess there is a first for everything. :)

But seriously, I don't think the zoom looks to0 terrible.

How about zooming in with the blu ray player?
Is it possible to cut the ends of the 2:35 picture to fit the 16x9 with the Blu ray player zoom function?

thanks

I cannot with my Blu-Ray player, and I'm pretty sure you cannot with others. You can however with DVD players, and the xbox 360 works great for cutting the ends, good picture as well while doing it.
