Watching on WWJ in Detroit via Comcast. Picture Quality looks great again today from all game sites. Been mainly getting the Boise site but have seen action from all 4 sites.

The Miami site does not have their shot clock clock corrected to white numbers like all the other CBS broadcasts, they are showing the shot clock with red numbers.

I guess I am the only one watching today, that can't bode well for the ratings. :D

Looks that way maybe everyone is either at work or out at a bar watching?

No, I'm watching. Or was. Too gripped by the E. Tennessee vs Pitt to write. Off to Hooters, now. And I'm buying. You just gotta find me <G>.

Watching on WLKY in Louisville and they are down converting to 720P and it looks awful, artifacts, blurring and blocking, terrible presentation.

unlike yesterday cox was not consistent all day. hopefully this is just a tourney thing. had no issues during nfl or reg season but since the late game yesterday, signal has been buggy. sometimes even losing other hd channels.

I see the shot clock from the Miami site is now white like all the others.

Here in KC on Surewest, audio is briefly dropping out every 15-30 seconds and the video glitches along with it. Very annoying. Been doing it for the last hour at least.

Any reason CBS is showing highlights and press conference snippets in SD instead of HD?

Picture going in and out of focus on WWL in New Orleans. No subchannels here but the picture gets blurry and it's very annoying.

Great job by CBS tonight showing both of the great finishes. I was watching the Michigan State game in a home market and CBS did a great job of showing this game and then going to the other two close finishes. Don't think I saw one commercial break between the under 8 media break in the MSU game and the 30 second spot near the end of the second OT.

A good job by DirecTV as well for Mega March Madness. I too was watching MSU in a home market (via WWJ-TV), but when CBS began taking us to the close finishes DirecTV lifted the blackout so I could watch the end of the MSU game via MMM. When CBS takes constant feeds to other close finishes (like tonight), DirecTV flips from using the Constant feed to using the back-haul feed so you can continue to see that desired game.

Is CBS broadcasting in 5.1? I have my Outlaw 950 and converter box set to dolby digital but my 950 is reading Pro Logic II. When I try other stations some come up 5.1 so i was just wondering. thanks

CBS is sending out DD 5.1, however, not all local stations are passing it.

I agree Mike, it looked terrible, and I hated the WLKY logo being shown every 5 minutes with "Go Cards" covering up the bottom corner of the screen. Why can't they just show the game without the stupid logo?

I have noticed this on CBS for a long time now with sporting events

Minor complaint here, was watching the Wisconsin game and they had a shot to win the game and CBS cuts away back to the Ohio St game right after the shot left the player's hand. Both games were very close, but how can you switch right when the ball is in mid-air?

Same here and from everything I've read here on avs, it's an issue with the flexicoder at your affiliate. I have contacted the station engineer at WWL for over a year now, and they refuse to correct it.

wasn't that something? my brother and his kids were here watching and we all screamed when that happened. it couldn't have been a worse switch, though CBS had a few bad moments last night when cutting between bad games.

Thanks for the info I just posted on our local thread to our local CBS guy who is great about watching this forum.

Yes, this drove me nuts. Whatever happened to the split screen display they used to do when multiple games were close at the end? Heck, I remember seeing the endings of four games at once one time many years ago and that was BEFORE high definition.
