Hi my problem is mostly with DVI but since HDMI and DVI are very similar I thought this forum could help me.
what I want to do is connect 2 DVI sources to my LCD PC monitor, those two sources would be my PC and an HD cable box. My monitor only has one VGA input and one DVI input so I could connect my PC thru VGA and the cable box to the DVI input but ideally I would like to use DVI for both, so my question is, is there a splitter I could get for cheap? I found this (http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0250851) product bit it says that it is for connecting 1 DVI source to 2 displays when what I want to do is connect 2 sources to 1 display so will this product work for me? or do I need to buy an expensive $200+ switch box?
