Mick Foley is the "Executive Shareholder" and has returned to in-ring action and it has been announced that he will face Sting in the steel cage at the next pay-per-view for the Heavyweight title.
D-I-G-I-T-A-L 03-22-09, 09:32 AM The only half decent things to watch in TNA is Kurt Angle, and the X division.

Ba-dum, tssh!
Darth J 04-18-10, 02:47 PM I caught a couple recent episodes of TNA wrestling and could not believe how good the picture looks, especially close-ups. Better than anything that I see on the big networks, and the close-ups I thought looked close to bluray quality. Anybody notice this as well?

It does look pretty good. If only their show was good quality:rolleyes:
WWE and TNA are pretty crappy these days, so I haven't watched much lately

Agreeded WCW (with nWo) and WWF was great from 1997-2000. Ever since then its been pretty awful.
TNA was OK when it had the Main Event Mafia.
Masked MarvelHD 04-19-10, 02:25 AM I am a TNA fan, though I can't watch it in HD. TNA is going through some growing pains with its new talent taking control (Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff).
hdtvjunkie247 04-19-10, 08:59 AM Unfortunately my cable provider (Comcast) doesn't yet carry SPIKE HD in my area, so no TNA Impact in HD for me. However, I have seen clips of Impact in HD online and it looks stunning. I also watch WWE and their HD broadcast looks pretty damn good as well. I was kind of worried that the transition over to HD would expose the product, but that hasn't really happened. I hope eventually that TNA moves out of the Impact Zone and does more shows on the road, like last night's Lockdown PPV.
hdtvjunkie247 07-23-10, 02:45 PM Anybody going to order the TNA PPV next month because it has an ECW theme? The rumored main event is TNA Champion RVD vs. Jerry Lynn. TNA is calling the PPV, Hardcore Justice: The Last Stand. Here is the official website for the PPV.

Epic Fail
Demolition Man 07-24-10, 03:12 PM Yep... TNA needs to die already.

Why would any one wish the company would fail? It is the only mainstream alternative for the WWE. TNA may not always be great, but at least it is another option for fans and wrestlers.
jamieva 07-28-10, 10:55 AM I gave TNA a shot for about 3-4 weeks when they added Hogan and Bischoff. The product is terrible.
hdtvjunkie247 07-28-10, 06:25 PM I mostly watch (on DVR) because of the younger guys (Motor City Machine Guns, Joe, Styles, Kendrick etc.). I really don't give a damn about Jarrett, Nash or the ECW guys anymore. That's one of TNA's glaring problems, they focus too much on stuff that was relevant over a decade ago. Be original for once.

To me TNA is hardly an option these days. The booking is horrible, the storylines are lame, and honestly its not worth my time in watching. Trust me this is coming from someone who used to order the Wednesday weekly PPVs back in the day and continued to follow TNA all the way thru the FSN and early Spike TV days. The past few years however has been a major turn off to me starting with the god awful Main Event Mafia crap that dragged on forever, the Russo crap booking, and now the Hogan/Bischoff crap including the "ECW" stupidity with Dixie Carter screaming "I INVITED THEM!"
To further cement the stupidity of TNA this is a company that put a long dreamed first time ever match between RVD vs AJ Styles on TV for free with NO build up prior to that show. Yeah I know that was when TNA "attempted" to go against WWE RAW but still that week's show could of easily had the RVD vs Jeff Hardy number one contender's match as the main event which could have lead to RVD vs AJ at whatever the next PPV was. That alone could of made for better TV than giving away RVD vs AJ straight on free TV for the TNA World Title.
I could go on and on about how awful TNA is but honestly... I think either TNA needs to change its philosophy as a whole since the company is doing horrible PPV buyrate wise and its TV ratings aren't that hot either. Or go away. Honestly how much longer is Bob Carter (and Panda Energy) going to keep funding Dixie's little experiment into running a wrestling promotion alongside Jeff Jarrett? There's going to come a point where even he's going to get fed up with the money they are (still) obviously losing. Yeah TNA does house shows but when TNA draws 500-1,000 in arenas meant for 10,000+... that's not a good sign on multiple levels (bad advertisement, money wasted in renting a building with tons of open seats, etc).
Lone Wanderer 07-29-10, 03:01 AM Russo, Hogan and Bishoff have ruined TNA for good.
Go team!
FAIL!
TNA certainly has its problem, but I would never wish the company would close its doors. Wrestling is cyclical and what is horrible for months could go white hot over night. The same thing has happened over and over again. As long as a company is around their exist a chance for them to turn it around.
trumperZ06 07-29-10, 09:13 AM ;) The best that's happened with TNA...
Vince Mac Manon & his daughter running WWE into the ground.
Both shows need "new actors"... currently they are very stale.
 Now His wife's the Republican candidate for the U S Senate...
how dumb do they think the voters are?
Wrestling... like NA$CAR... has had it's moment...
being the new shining object.
People have moved-on...
looking for the next "New Thing".

Its not that I've been wanting to wish TNA to die off... but they are doing a very good job at making me wanting to wish it. Oh, and there's a recent report that the additions of Hogan, Flair, RVD, Ken Kennedy, and Jeff Hardy is going to cost the company roughly $4 million. Given the recent buyrate numbers on PPVs let alone their TV ratings... that's $4 million wasted to me.
And trumperZ06... Its Vince McMahon not "Jim Mac Mahon." Linda pretty much won't win in her senate race either.
Lone Wanderer 07-30-10, 01:34 AM Uhhh WWE is doing great, and is number 1.
TNA is struggling to even average 1.0 ratings.
Wresting will going strong for another 100 years unlike MMA.
RAVEN56706 07-30-10, 09:04 AM a big wrestling fan here... but TNA is desperate to gain attention... Hogan hasnt helped, Bischoff never helped.... This whole ECW theme ppv is the ultimate beating a dead horse and not to mention why waste your time with it... come on....
I believe that Dixie is the middle of a big problem. From what i read, they are losing a ton of money and Panda Energy(the finance providers for TNA) might be giving their final straw to TNA....
Dont be surprised if Vince buys them out in the next couple of years...
hdtvjunkie247 08-28-10, 06:59 AM I don't know how long this has been available, but you can now watch full episodes of Impact and Reaction on Spike's website:

One thing that I think that TNA is doing relatively well is the tag division. I'm especially enjoying the new tag team of Desmond Wolfe and Magnus called "London Brawling". The Motor City Machine Guns, Beer Money and Generation Me are also really entertaining and exciting. I'd prefer to see more of these guys over the likes of Hogan, Bischoff, Sting and Nash. Even Flair, while he can still cut some good promos and be entertaining, is pretty much tarnishing his image with what they ask him to do. It's just not fun to see a 61 year old man like Flair get in the ring anymore. He should've stayed retired when he lost to Michaels in '08.
