I've had 100BASET ethernet connected where my bigscreen TV is for six years. My ReplayTV uses it.

Now I want to add a Popcornhour A-110. So I need to split the network connection between the two devices.

'Problem is, I don't have a lot of extra space in the entertainment center. Is there a switch optimized for this application? 'Should be small and low power. It only needs to have three ports.

I see by googling that the silicon vendors keep reducing the cost of the ethernet switch chip. There is still innovation/cost/power reduction in the 10/100 ethernet variant, amazingly.

But I'm not sure I've seen this show up in consumer products.

Suggestions?

Thanks

Thanks for the suggestion. I'd hope to find one that's smaller. Maybe it doesn't need to have all the RJ-45s in line like that. I only need three RJ-45s for this application.

'Would also be nice too if I could get it without Link/Activity LEDs or blank them all out.

I don't know of any switch smaller than 4 ports...and the lights let you know it's working my man. However, you can find one where they're not quite so prominent. I'm not sure you'll really find what you're looking for, but you can look here http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&SubCategory=30&N=2052810030. Good luck.
