Premiere tonight, they showed the first three episodes in a row (I assume they'll keep rerunning it all week and then run it regularly on Mon evenings at 7:30pm).

Not a bad little show. No it's not as adult as the MTV Spidey animated show from a few years back, but it's still a lot more fun than I thought it would be. The color palette is nice and bright, the use of surround is well done, and it's, well, Spider-Man! This show seems to be more in the vein of the newer comic series...

I'm looking forward to see what they do with the new Iron Man animated series in a few months.

Thanks for mentioning this. I just realized I watched this cartoon when it aired on the CW on Saturday mornings last year but I hadn't seen it in a while. I had wondered what happened to it and now I know, it's moved to a new channel. I looked it looked on wiki and there's a lot of episodes that have aired in other countries but not aired so far in the U.S. The CW only showed season 1 and there's a full season 2 already produced, which I assume XD will show.

New episodes this summer.

Season 2 is currently airing Sunday morning on Teletoons in Canada. It is not in HD but it still looks good, much better than the CW channel's Season 1 . It has three more episodes to go. If you can't wait, all episodes are available on U-Tube. I've been watching the 90's Spider-man cartoons there.

Anyone following the show on XDHD? This week's episode introduces The Rhino and is the best one by far. If you haven't caught the show yet I suggest you give it a try (they rerun it a number of times during the week).

Its a good show I was wondering if it is being shown in hd on the xdhd channel. I know the show it self was shot in hd but am unsure of the airing in hd.

It is shown in HD and looks quite good.

I also have been watching the series on the disney XD. its indeed in HD and looks very nice.

I spot-check from time to time, and it is really nice in HD. Am waiting to see when new episodes begin airing though... right now they are running through the episodes originally aired on Saturday morning OTA.

is new season during the summer "season 3" or later?

Only 1 season aired new so far (OTA), but I forget how many episodes. I want to say 13, but don't hold me to that. I know it wasn't a lot. Whenever they catch up and start airing new ones, those will be season 2.

As far as I know, yes... I watched them all originally on OTA on my local CW affiliate and they were all 4:3. But I also know this local station doesn't have the capacity to store HD syndication, so am unsure if it was aired anywhere in HD or not even offered until now.

The broadcasts of this show on CW affiliates are not a syndication feed, but rather just passing through the network's Saturday morning feed. If stations can offer CW primetime in HD, they should be able to offer Saturday morning in HD, as well -- that is, if the CW fed these shows in HD, which they apparently don't.

In other words -- blame the network, not the station.

Thanks for that info... I still don't know that my particular local affiliate can handle syndicated HD yet anyway... but in this case it sounds like it just wasn't sent from the network in HD before.
