I have a Buffalo Linkstation Live 500GB Media server that stopped working and displayed an error code that says something is wrong with the fan. Does anyone know if these things can be repaired? Buffalo does not repair these drives.:mad: Any help would be appreciated.

Put a new fan in it. Match 1) the voltage, 2) the number of wires (these fans probably have a tach wire so the processor can determine the speed), and 3)size.

Try Radio Shack and CompuUsa (or other PC parts store) first. After that, you can try online: DigiKey, Allied Electric, Mouser, or Newark; these are all retailers for electronic components. The fan won't cost you $10, so it is worth a try.
