I'm not questioning whether or not what you say is true. I just hadn't heard this. Was season 5 in HD? Oddly enough, I don't have Comedy Central in HD via Comcast here. I do however get some of their programing through the HD On Demand service. Young C 03-25-09, 03:37 PM An avsforum thread said it, and this other link as well. 'RENO 911! | Comedy Central Insider Blog' http://ccinsider.comedycentral.com/tag/reno-911/ "Comedy Central Launches Comedy Central HD: RENO 911! Edit. No, I do not think Season 5 was in HD. I could be wrong. andgarden 03-25-09, 04:13 PM Now let's get this in the lineup TWC. . . D-I-G-I-T-A-L 03-26-09, 03:08 AM nice! mproper 03-26-09, 09:57 AM There are a lot of things in this show I don't want to see in HD, but I'm excited anyways. ahard 03-26-09, 12:35 PM There are a lot of things in this show I don't want to see in HD, but I'm excited anyways. I definitely want to see all of the lady cops in HD. ;) Remember the episode where the one female cop wore a thong for the first time and she couldn't get use to it. Now, wouldn't you like to see her in HD in possibly a thong! :D How about Dangle's boyfriend wearing short shorts. Would you like to see that in HD! CycloneGT 03-26-09, 12:48 PM Well, I am hoping that is the day that Dish Network adds them. Marty Milton 03-26-09, 12:57 PM Another Comcast customer that doesn't have CC in HD and I am not expecting it very soon, either. Young C 04-09-09, 09:14 AM Good episode last night, very funny. I watched this in SDTV, darn Dishnetwork. juniormaj 04-10-09, 06:30 AM Now that the show is in HD, the giveaways that it's not shot in Reno are becoming more obvious. Street signs of Los Angeles locations are much clearer, and most glaring is the establishing shot of the front of the police station which has a sign saying "Carson" on it, although partially hidden by trees. Not that the show has gone to great lengths to hide it in the past. I just think it's humorous. dcowboy7 04-16-09, 08:09 PM yesterdays episode looked like it was on film ? they always had that video tape look to make it look like the COPS episodes but yesterdays didnt look the same & its not the fact that its HD now because the first few episodes of this season were HD & they had that tape look....anyone notice that ? Young C 04-17-09, 08:50 AM I did not notice it. I did see this episode in HDTV though. Yippie. mproper 04-17-09, 09:23 AM Now that the show is in HD, the giveaways that it's not shot in Reno are becoming more obvious. Shooting a movie in Toronto and trying to pass it off as New York? scowl 04-17-09, 11:47 AM yesterdays episode looked like it was on film ? It's either 24 or 30 frames per second video, emulating the look of film. dcowboy7 04-17-09, 03:30 PM It's either 24 or 30 frames per second video, emulating the look of film. yes but your missing the point of the question....after all these episodes why did they decide to do that "film" look now ? scowl 04-17-09, 03:53 PM yes but your missing the point of the question....after all these episodes why did they decide to do that "film" look now ? Because with HDTV cameras, you can do that "film" look. dcowboy7 04-17-09, 07:59 PM Because with HDTV cameras, you can do that "film" look. but as i said the 1st 2 episodes were HD & still had the "tape" look...why switch in the 3rd episode + now it doesnt have that look that resembles a COPS episode spoof since COPS looks like "tape". lowrider1340 04-20-09, 11:23 AM does anybody know when cc hd coming to fios anytime soon (2009) Young C 07-08-09, 09:26 AM Heads up. Reno 911! is having its season finale tonight. I have to admit, I haven't been enjoying this season that much. Maybe I'm just not in the mood when it's broadcasted. RemyM 07-08-09, 12:55 PM It's getting a little old. Same jokes and characters. I have only kept watching for the lack of anything else on. RemyM 08-13-09, 09:24 PM Reno 911 has been canceled. http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?p=16996848#post16996848 Young C 08-14-09, 08:38 AM Wow. Not that surprised, I think it was about time. This past season wasn't that good. I'm sure most of the cast made a million dollars by now anyway. Thanks for posting in this thread. Rhoq 08-14-09, 10:19 AM It's amazing that Comedy Central would cancel the pure genius that is Reno 911! but greenlight a new series starring Jeff Dunham. Truly sad news. Looks like the corporate mentality of catering to the lowest common denominator has finally caught up with Comedy Central (or has it been that way all along and I'm just now noticing?). |
