I'm not questioning whether or not what you say is true. I just hadn't heard this. Was season 5 in HD?

Oddly enough, I don't have Comedy Central in HD via Comcast here. I do however get some of their programing through the HD On Demand service.

I definitely want to see all of the lady cops in HD. ;) Remember the episode where the one female cop wore a thong for the first time and she couldn't get use to it. Now, wouldn't you like to see her in HD in possibly a thong! :D

How about Dangle's boyfriend wearing short shorts. Would you like to see that in HD!

Well, I am hoping that is the day that Dish Network adds them.

Now that the show is in HD, the giveaways that it's not shot in Reno are becoming more obvious. Street signs of Los Angeles locations are much clearer, and most glaring is the establishing shot of the front of the police station which has a sign saying "Carson" on it, although partially hidden by trees.
Not that the show has gone to great lengths to hide it in the past. I just think it's humorous.

yesterdays episode looked like it was on film ?

they always had that video tape look to make it look like the COPS episodes but yesterdays didnt look the same & its not the fact that its HD now because the first few episodes of this season were HD & they had that tape look....anyone notice that ?

Never having been to Reno or LA, I have not noticed (I have no idea what "Carson" is).

but as i said the 1st 2 episodes were HD & still had the "tape" look...why switch in the 3rd episode + now it doesnt have that look that resembles a COPS episode spoof since COPS looks like "tape".

I have to admit, I haven't been enjoying this season that much. Maybe I'm just not in the mood when it's broadcasted.

It's getting a little old. Same jokes and characters. I have only kept watching for the lack of anything else on.

It's amazing that Comedy Central would cancel the pure genius that is Reno 911! but greenlight a new series starring Jeff Dunham. Truly sad news. Looks like the corporate mentality of catering to the lowest common denominator has finally caught up with Comedy Central (or has it been that way all along and I'm just now noticing?).
