need some help from the pros. want to put together a fully integrated audio/video setup. my current setup works well, but I would like to integrate some components and unify the interface e.g., possibly control everything from media center.

current setup:
audio
---------
sonos for music
theta pre and amp
in-wall speakers
sennheiser wireless headphones for night listening (have their own volume control - currently connected to zone 2 pre-amp out)

video
----------
HTPC for blu ray disks, blu ray hard drive rips, netflix streaming and various torrents
digital cable stb
both HTPC and STB hdmi connected to lg plasma

Other
-----------
controlled by logitec 1000 remote with RF (great for 1 button "watch movies")
2, 1TB external hard drives for backup

so I was thinking of a couple options. I could get an HTPC with cablecard, pre-amp, and some large internal drives and get rid of the current HTPC, theta pre-amp and external drives (I know the HTPC pre will be a big step down from the theta, but I have come to grips with the need to sacrifice sound quality for convenience/integration) but I'm not sure if the sonos through he digital input on the HTPC would require some switching outside of media center (which would defeat the purpose) and also not sure how to get the headphones to work

I could go with a receiver, but then I sacrifice preamp and amp quality, and still will have to switch inputs and control the volume separate from the HTPC.

so I’m in a bit of a dilemma. any advice is much appreciated.

thanks in advance
