Hey guys, wanna get a real nice sub for 75% music, 25% movies.

My room is about 13x14x13

I really just want the most musical sub out of the 2

I would lean towards the 25-31 for 75% music. Even so, I don't see a big difference between the 2 (for music).

For HT the PB-10 is flat to 19Hz which gives it an advantage over the 25-31.

Thanks for the reply, couple questions...

What things would make you lean towards the 25-31? Is it because its a 12" instead of a 12"? Would it have just as good or better articulation, speed, and sound quality?

I'm a little skeptical of the 25-31 because it's a cylinder and I've never heard one. Also, I didn't find a measurement chart for the 25-31. The PB10 can go flat to 19hz, how low can the 25-31 go?

I too am deciding between the PB10 and 25-31. Based on the votes, it looks like I'm going to get the PB10-NSD!

Thanks everyone ;)

The sound of the cylinder is not a concern. It is just a round box. Because of it's shape, they can make it much lighter than a box. For your use, I think I would still go with the PB10 as it has pr oven to be an overachiever. I believe the driver is based more on the Plus than the NSD.

Hey all,

The closeout 25-31 PCi is custom-tuned at the shop to 22Hz, so figure 20Hz or so extension in-room.

Hmm, tied votes...

I still think I would go with the PB10...

I feel like the 25-31 would be too powerful for the room size, then again I guess you could always turn down the gain/volume... I just like the look of the front firing box subs more than the cylinder ones I guess.
