View Full Version : Right channel much quieter than left

Just got some new Klipsch Wf-35's to replace my RF-3's. I have them bi-amped from my Pioneer VSX-03. I haven't changed any settings from when I had the RF-3's, which sounded fine. Currently the left channel seems to put out about half as much volume as the right and I am not sure why. I'm at work right now so I can't troubleshoot but I wanted to post this before I forgot and to see if anyone had any general ideas about what the cause could be. Thanks for any help you can give.

Assuming nothing has been changed other than "take take out old, put in new"...
1) check speaker wire connections for shorts
2) swap left/right speakers. If problem moves, possibly bad speaker.
3) put old speakers back and see if problem persists.

If the problem persists after all 3 above tests, try going to a single amp/wire hookup rather than bi-amp.

Sounds like you have a bad connection somewhere - the full spectrum of the bi-amp is not getting to the speaker.
