After a lot of research on inexpensive subwoofers (Acculine A-Sub, BIC F-12, Cadence CSX-12, eD A-250, PA-120, Velodyne VX-10, TSC 250, etc, etc), I decided on the BIC H-100. It's been around a while, I know, but it seems to consistently get a lot of love from owners, former owners and reviewers. I bought it from Overstock ($280 shipped).

Up until now I have been using an 8" Sony sub that is the last remnant of a long gone Sony HT-7000DH HTIB. I had considered it adequate for my listening needs. In the spirit of full disclosure, I've always been a little skeptical of all the "wow" type comments from folks who seem to experience some kind of an epiphany immediately after getting a serious sub after living with an HTIB.

Well I'm no longer skeptical. I played a battle scene from Master and Commander (an recommended benchmark) and OMG :D:D. I now realize I've been missing a lot. Here are some pix, in particular the rear view, which I never seemed to be able to find when researching. Only had it for a couple of days but so far I'm a happy camper. :)

Congrats, I had it as one of my first subs before giving it to my nice as a justification for me to upgrade. It really is a great sub at it's price point and looks great also with it's gloss top.

Congrats samsurd..glad you like it. Now you can understand why so many of us former htib sub owners are excited and happy with these decent not overly expensive subs.

Nice man, i had a h100 and it slowly got less impressive for me. Now i'm in the process of building a sub that will hopefully demolish it, then again i am spending 400+ on it. The bic is an amazing sub for the price.
