OK,

So we are getting a new, very large entertainment center, and my wife gave me the go ahead to finally get the big screen TV. The unit can hold up to a 65" display. I wanted to get a least 60". So my number 1 choice was the Panasonic 58pz800u. Problem is that this is going into a family room with two side windows that have the half moon windows above them and two skylights, as well as, some light from the kitchen in the rear.

The display will be used as the families primary display, for everything from video games, to movies, and sports.

Now I am starting to think about the Sharp Aquos 65d64u. But I am not sure I will be happy with the contrast or 60Hz refresh. I do not want to spend the extra money for the 65es94u, it's just out of my budget.

Do you think I would be happy with the Sharp with movies at night? Do you think the Panasonic would be to reflective during the day? What other suggestions do you guys have? I would like to stay at $3000 or less.

Thanks,
Adam

P.S. I need to make a quick decision. The kids can't live without TV to long LOL

Check out the new Vizio 55" 120 Hz LCD at Costco. Well under your budget. Two year warranty and 90-day exchange, so you can get "on the air" quickly.

There's an AVS thread devoted to this display in the LCD section.
