Plenty out there @ near to the price range you are looking at.

Certainly go to your local store (hifi, BB, Vanns, Frys) to check out the B&M models (Polk, REL, Velodyne, etc). But don't forget to look at the internet direct folks as well: AV123 (http://www.**********), SV Sound (http://www.svsound.com/), HSU Research (http://www.hsuresearch.com/), Elemental Designs (http://www.edesignaudio.com/)

Well I researched all of these and went with the Seaton Sound SubMersive LOL. If I had not done that, then I was reading up on the current state of the MFW-15 amp issue, so was looking at Elemental Designs and SVS PB12Plus. The MFW had the wife acceptance factor going for it. Many folks here will stand by their Dual MFW setups though, amp issues aside (btw, check out the AV123 owners thread, and AV123 web site for resolution of these issues). I guess I am hedging because many new subs have come out even since I was looking and decided. If you are going to just push a button and not look back, AV123 DUAL MFW's and have fun!

Michael.

Most people here are going to agree with going with (2) SVSound PB12-NSD's would be awesome. Probably about $600 each shipped.

The PB10-NSD will do a great job also for about $460 shipped each. 10" vs 12"

You will not be disappointed with either.

I've got new dual Outlaw EX's for sale within your budget! Ok, enough plugging me...the dual SVS's 10s would meet your budget, so would the smaller HSU units. Outlaw also has their smaller units within your budget as well. All are reputable companies.

Man, wish I had chops like that.... just ask a question and boom! Order Submitted...! I agonized for weeks reading countless uesless postings (like this one! :) along with many good ones too!) Happy with what I did, but envy those who can just ... decide. Great choice btw :)
