OK - so I'm pretty much done planning and would love some feedback before I commit to this.

EQUIPMENT:

Panasonic PT-AX200U (PT-AX200E here) or Epson Pro Cinema 810 (TW700 here)
Pioneer VSX-917
Wharfedale Diamond 9.5 Fronts
Wharfedale Diamond 9.1 Surrounds
Wharfedale Diamond 9cs Centre
Wharfedale SW150 10" Subwoofer
100" 16:9 fixed frame screen

I'll be buying face-plates, cables etc from monoprice. Shipping to NZ will double the cost of the order, but still cheaper than I can get it here.

ROOM SETUP

The room is about 20' by 10'
Seating about 12' from the screen

Walls will be painted a mid-brown. Instead of going matt-black for the ceiling and screen wall I'd like to go a dark-brown. Will this work almost as well?
Lighting will be from copper wall sconses with dimmer switch.

Any improvements/feedback/advice about this potential setup?

Sounds good so far. Do you have any pics of the soon to be theater space? Also how height is the room?

The ceilings are between 8' and 9' tall. There were some load supporting beams, so we've had to box these in.

Here is where the screen will be (marked out for 100" screen).

Looks like it will be a good space when you get it cleared out.:) Where are you putting your gear at. Are you going to do a in wall av rack or have it in a closet. j

Hi cableman. The room next door (same size) will be a home office. I'm going to have a small rack in there for the equipment. I plan on having the 2nd zone of speakers in the office for music.

I'm really hovering between the Epson and Panny. The issues with the AX-200 have me a bit worried. I can also find the TW-700 (HC720 in the US) cheaper than the Panny which helps even more :)

Any ideas whether a 92" or 100" would better suit the room (and projector) given I'll be watching almost 100% standard def?
