I am a contractor ( general) and have an issue . I have a client who has an old Pioneer hdtv plasma screen a with a separate media reciever box The reciever has hdmi inputs but connects to the scrren via two cables one is dvi and the other ithe older white type (( duh cant think of the terminology right now)

I have Hdmi and cat 5 from the area where the components will be to the screen. I found an adapter form hdmi to dvi but dont see anything for the system cable . In any case I only have one cable to the screen.

Do I have any options here?

the cable looks similar to DVI but it's actually a cable that I believe is proprietary to Pioneer...they included one cable with two connectors on each end, from the media box to the plasma TV.

You don't mention the model TV so it's hard to say for sure, but maybe something like this:

It was available in longer lengths (10 meter and I think 15 meter, but not 100% on the 15 meter), but it's been discontinued so it might be hard to find.

Without the Pioneer cable, which actually has two connectors on each end, there's no way that I'm aware of to make it work.

Try to contact Pioneer to see if they can help you.
