I just bought a Mits HC5500 projector and its connected to a PS3 via 30 ft long HDMI cable. My problem is the screen freezes occassionally when I watch a blur ray but audio continues play. I know it's not a PS3 because it never had a problem with a smaller TV. I switched HDMI cable between monoprice and Monster and they both had the same issue. I'm wondering if it's the projector or just an inherent problem with a long HDMI cable. should I go with a component cable instead? thx for your advise.

Can you try moving your PS3 closer with a short cable just for a test? My HDMI run is 45' Bluejeans cable with 0 problems.

how thick is your cable? Mine's 24awg and I'm thinking about getting a 22awg one from monoprice. fortunetely though, the screen hasn't frozen in the last several days..but I'm dreading it will appear again.
