The jack on the back of my Samsung LNR237W has become loose. With the cable resting in the connector it either gets no signal or a bad signal(Check Signal Cable message). The cable has to be held up so that the jack is pulled upwards to get a signal. We tried getting screws to hold it in place(there were none and I can't recall there even being any) but they don't seem to work. We also tried removing the jack from the board and examining the connectors. We were able to get it to work while we had the back off but once the TV was sitting upright again and gravity came into play the problem returned. Our conclusion was that the connectors had been bent over time due to the lack of screws and the weight of HDMI cables. Is there anywhere that we can buy a replacement HDMI jack? I can't seem to find the proper piece anywhere and the closest I've come so far is an HDMI connector listed under Best Buy's Part Search site when searching for my TV model(can't link directly, not enough posts).

But since there's no picture I'm hesitant to just order it because I'm not certain it's actually the part I need since I've gotten tons of un-needed returns on my searches so far. Can anyone help?

Most (if not all) of the Samsung TVs don't use the screws to secure the HDMI Input to the chassis...and as you see, the HDMI Inputs can be really fragile, especially the ones without the screws.

The problem is all HDMI Cables are manufactured overseas (China) so it's hard to find the parts unless you're a manufacturer. Here's one website in the UK that says they have some female connectors. It sounds like that's what you're looking for, but not sure. Also, can't vouch for the site so you're on your own:

Maybe you can try Samsung to see if you can order one from their parts department? Might be a safer way to go to make sure you get the right part. Also, I would imagine soldering is pretty difficult if you do get your hands on one.

I'm not sure if it will help you now, but you might also try http://www.blueechosolutions.com/ hd ez lock. It supports your cable and holds it in place and uses a high bond adhesive if there's no screw.
