I just saw one of these at our local Canadian Tire store. It wasn't for sale but was being used as a source for a switcher. It has no tuner but has multiple inputs and outputs on the back. I doubt if it's a true recorder as in recording to a disc. I think it can only record to a built in HDD through it's USB 2.0 ports on the back of the unit. The switcher was also a Chinese made one. Model of the recorder/player was ?? (characters in Chinese) 5000. I got off a picture with my telephone cam but I don't know if it came out. I'll post it if I can. Hisense has no info on their website unfortunately, at least not on the English site. I'll have to check the Chinese one. The pic as displayed on the Hisense 42" HDTV set was very good.
