The ReadySound CVS880 composite video switch box...with parallel output.

Add in (5) composite video cable sets.

Input 1: Digital TV Receiver
Input 2: DVD
Input 3: VCR

Output 1: to TV (video)/Audio System (audio)
Output 2: to VCR

This setup allows me to record anything from the DTV Receiver or DVD. In theory, I just need to leave the DTV box on to the channel I want to record, then set the VCR to record. Unfortunately, there isn't much I want to record. BUT...I can if I wanted to. :) One of the cables is kinda going to waste as I am only using the video cable portion of the triplette, and another cable has the video portion not used. But, I had all the cables on hand already. So, all is well.

This SD home theater system is complete. w00t. The picture is really good on the donor TV. I mean, really good.

I should note that the switch box and antenna are the only things I paid for to complete this project. The receiver box was paid for with a coupon over a year ago. Everything I owned for many, many years. The cables were all collected from over the years. Being a pack-rat paid off! :D

The antenna was a remnant from another project.

Reduce, re-use, recycle!

Not exactly the fanciest SDTV Theater, but for a 3-yr old, this is hot stuff. :lol:
