I need a DVD player to use on a plasma screen. I'm going to use 480p component out.

Does it matter whether I buy a $50 model, $100 model, or splurge for an Oppo 980?

Any opinions appreciated.

Some of them have better deinterlacing than others (to get 480p, you have to deinterlace the 480i on DVDs.) I think Oppos have good reps as deinterlacers as well as upscalers.
