I have decided after extensive reading on the boards that I want to get a Tripp Lite Line Conditioner (that and the fact that I put one in my parents house 4 years ago and they have been happy). Here's the issue, I'm trying to decide on getting the LC1800 or (2) LC1200's:
This is the equipment I am running for my home theatre setup and their respective wattage draws:
Onkyo RX 780w
Mackie HR626 130w
Macie HR824 (x2) 270w
Sony Blu-Ray 28w
Samsung DVD 9w
Airport Express 22w
Motorola Modem 28w
Netgear Router 77w
========= =====
Total: 1344w
Additionally, I will be adding a Samsung LN52A750 whose draw is 290w, which brings the total to 1644w. At some point I may add the DirecTV HD-DVR (who's rating I'm not sure of).
All of the equipment adds up to close to 1800 which is the MAX rating for the Tripp Lite LC1800. So here is the question: do I put EVERYTHING on one unit or buy 2 LC1200's. Obviously I'd love to get just one unit. (On another note, the Onkyo Receiver rating is based on full load and I don't even use the amps in it (all my speakers are monitors with amps inside)).
Any ideas on this?
