I have tried searching but only found vague references to my specific problem.

I am trying to connect my new Panasonic BD-60 blu ray player to my Sharp XVZ10000U projector. The projector is not native hdmi, it has a dvi port that I use with an adapter. I have connected my pc, my DTV HD receiver and my Oppo 971 through an HDMI switch without problems.

The Panasonic throws a U72 code with both the old switch and a new Monoprice 1.3b switch.

Is this an issue with my projector? :(

Edit to add: The bd player works just fine when connected directly to the projector even with the hdmi/dvi adapter, just not through the switch.

Do you have any other TV's or anything with DVI or HDMI inputs that you can connect the switch & panny to?

Try searching the panny model # and switch model # on yahoo to see if others are having the problem. It is possible, but unlikely at this point that your projector is at fault.

Also, make sure the Panny is sending out 1080i or 720P and not 1080P. I don't have a BD player so I don't know if that is possible or what effect it might have. But I'd probably check it out.

I have this same exact issue except my projector is the JVC RS20. The Monoprice HDMI 1.3 splitter seems to have some issues with my Panny BD55. So I am guessing rather than being a projector specific issue this is a compatibility issue with the Monoprice 1.3 and any Panny BD player.

Has anyone with a Panny BD player successfully used an HDMI splitter, and if so, which one? Thanks!
