I have had my Z2 for 4 1/2 years and have been very happy. About two weeks ago, the Lamp light came on. I knew the bulb was getting close to needing replaced so I planned on replacing it in the next week or so.

Last night, I went downstairs to watch it and it is unresponsive. There are no lights lit up on the unit and I cannot get it to power up. I have checked the outlet and it is working fine.

Is this related to my bulb issue? I am willing to pay for a new bulb but i don't want to sink a lot of repair costs into since it is about 5 generations old.

If you do not see any LED's lighting up than it is not a lamp issue. It sounds like a power supply or main board issue.

Here is an update. I called Sanyo and they told me the same thing.

With nothing to lose, I took the projector down and cleaned it with my shop-vac in every opening that dust could get in except near the lens. I also took the filter out and cleaned it.

I plugged it back in and it powered up normally. It has worked just fine for the 2 days since. I still have to replace the bulb but that is a lot better than some of the scenarios that I was facing.
