If it much longer than 15 minutes then it is re-encoding and that is not good. I have never been able to get MF6 to accept a 24 Hz file without trying to re-encode to 29.97. I believe the HD-DVD standard is 29.97 not 23.976. Also MF will not accept 720P unless you fool it using HD-Patch. Mike T Infinite Grim 04-19-09, 08:51 PM It takes over an hour, and the end product is VERY choppy. The reason its choppy is because it turned the 24fps video int o29.97. When i use 29.97 video it plays smoothly. Do you know of any way to change a 24fps video into 29.97 without making it choppy? mtallent 04-20-09, 11:14 AM It takes over an hour, and the end product is VERY choppy. If the file is mpeg2 then you can use an older program called dopulldown or DGPulldown both free. If the file is H264 (x264) then use H264info also free. These do not re-encode the video and usually take about 10-15 minutes to complete. The HD-DVD spec does not allow 23.976 frame rate, it must be 29.97. If the file is H264 then it must be encoded with HD-DVD settings or Movie Factory will still try to re-encode it and it will look bad. If it is mpeg2 and 720P then you may have to use HDPatch to fool MF6 into think it is 1080i so it will not try to re-encode. Mike T |
