Hi,

I'm moving into our new home in a month and am looking for a 42" tv for the family room. The main use will be for TV, Wii, PS3 and some Blu Ray.

I will be getting a large TV for the basement so that will be where most of the main movie watching will be done so i'm looking for a tv that gives good SD quality as well as HD and can handle the odd game or 2. I dont mind spending the money for the right set.

Im up in Canada and they dont seem to be out yet. I will look for them as im sure they must be out pretty soon.

How about the Panny 800 ?

I'm not sure of the price range you're looking at, but if it's a bang for the buck choice, take a look at the new LG 42PQ30 plasma. I don't own one, yet, and we haven't really gotten any detailed user reviews yet, but from in store viewing, and a few user comments, it seems to be pretty impressive.
