probably a stupid question....but here goes



why is it that sometimes i am not able to adjust the color setting on my hv1500, sometimes its accessible, and others it is not..???

In all the cases I've seen, it is input dependent. Certain adjustments are available in Video that aren't in VGA/Component and vice/versa.

Yes, it's not available on HDMI for sure. Not sure about the rest of the inputs.

thats is very strange...

i can swear that i have adjusted it before, and i only have hdmi going into the pj. :confused::confused::confused::confused:

It may also depend if the material you're watching has HDCP. They may prevent certain parts of the data stream from being manipulated, which may prevent certain controls. Not sure if that is the reason, but just a guess.

I have Toshiba HD-A2 HD DVD player and a Samsung BD-UP5000 Combo player hooked to my projector through a budget Sony receiver using HDMI.

The Color control option on the projector is available for adjustment with either one of these HDMI sources.

Same goes for my DVD/VCR player hooked to S-Video and my OTA digital tuner hooked to Component.

I have an HD1000U projector. (Predecessor to the HC1500)
