Hey, new to the forums... New to hi-def tvs, and I know that the forum finds me similar threads, but I just wanted to ensure I spend my money wisely, so I apologize that this questions probably been asked a thousand times.
So, I just got an Xbox 360, and decided there's no point in playing on my ****** anologue tv with a good console...
I'm looking for a tv in the $1500 range, that's best suited for gaming, but will be good for movies and what not... I think I narrowed it down to the Sony bravia, or panasonic viera, but then I heard about this 120hz samsung tv... What should I invest my money into? Any recommendations?

Look at PCMags most recent reviews. For 46" you can't go wrong with A850 Samsung. If you want to avoid tweaking get the SE94U from Sharp.

Sony's are good too but for far less money, you can get just as good video from Samsung and Sharp.

As for Toshiba, its good too but for the money, the 'SSS' crew have more wider reps: Sony, Samsung, Sharp.

For tighter budget, look at Vizio, but expect some risk of quality issues.

I would stay away from Samsung unless flashlighting doesn't bother you

its light bleeding through the screen usually at the corners..........it creates very uneven screen lighting

I would definitely go with the Sony Bravia. In general, they have better signal processing, i.e., fewer picture artifacts, than the other brands.

I believe that all of the 46" Sony models are either 120 Hz or, better yet, 240 Hz.
