I'm in the process of converting my living room into a home theater. I've gotten quite a bit of drywall dust on the HDMI and VGA connectors I have installed in the walls, and some dust on the speaker terminals. Should I be concerned here? Or do I just wipe them down with a wet towel after I'm all done and they'll be good as new?

I would grab some compressed air and blow them off, wiping them down with a wet towel might cause more problems. If you're planning on doing more work you might want to take a plastic baggy and a rubber band and cover those babies up ;)

No, I'm all done the drywall work. I'm painting now. You don't suppose it'll affect the quality of the audio and video, would it? With the digital connections, I can't see how. The analogs, on the other hand, I can.

compressed air is a good route to take, but if something is ruined, replacing a wall plate isnt that expensive, but I think you should be OK
