Hi, I have an HLS-6187s that Samsung refuses to fix. I was wondering if anyone could help me out on what is wrong with it.
The image on the screen no matter what source randomly freezes in color. It sometimes freezes for 1/2 a second up to 10 min which makes the unit completely unusable.
Two different repair companies have put repairs into it and it is still not fixed.
They have replaced both the main board, and the DLP board (but not the chip) It has been 6 months that I have had this refurbished piece of junk and it has never worked. I will never purchase a samsung again but I am writing this to see if I can salvage some of the money that I have lost by repairing the unit.
Thanks in advance,

The service companies charged you and didn't repair the problem? Did they charge you for parts that didn't correct the problem, or did they remove those parts and just charge you labor. They should have given you an estimate to repair the set after they checked it out initially.

The repairs were done back when Samsung actually talked to me, so Samsung paid for the repairs. Unfortunately they didn't work so it doesn't really matter and they won't fix it anymore. That's why I'm trying to figure out how to fix it myself.

I take it this is one of those situations where the TV didn't get repaired properly and your local servicer told Samsung that's "Its fixed" so they are now ignoring you?
