That's great news, it 'sounds' like progress. I'm holding out on my next HD Tv for it to be tru2way build in.

The guide has finally been launched and NDS will also sell the guide to other MSO's if they want to use tru2way.

Cox has decided not to port Trio to the Moto boxes. Cox has decided to deploy Cisco boxes in the Moto areas so that NDS doesn't have to port it to all those OCAP middlewares.

Ahh, gotcha. . . just noticed that they are calling it Advanced TV "Plus". I was thinking "Advanced" was the change in the naming of their tiers. Had not been on their site in a while so it all looked new.

Pricing will be interesting!!

Which televisions have the Tru2Way?

Only 2 2008 spec Panasonic Plasma sets were released to Comcast subscribers in certain areas. Cox will initially be launching this on Cisco 8642HDC and 1642HDC boxes, though maybe someday it might hit retail, but I doubt it.

The Trio guide runs on Cisco's Axiom OCAP middleware. Necessary said it was "unlikely" Cox would port the guide to the Motorola set-top platform this year. Cox is about 55% Cisco and 45% Motorola. In Moto systems, the Trio guide will be deployed on the Explorer boxes using a Motorola-based CableCard.
