Hi all,

Just got my Panny ax200 setup and i'm loving it. .

One of the things i had read on the net last year was people having problems with the projector starting to flicker (something to do with the bulb or iris, can't really remember) i believe this can start after using the PJ in eco mode.

My question is

1. Has Panasonic fixed this problem.

2. My ax200 shows as being made in January 2009 on the sticker under the projector, due to being build this year will my PJ be immune from these problems, as i would like to run my PJ in eco mode if possible.

Thanks in advance

I had my sight on this projector also. As soon as receiving my tax return, I will pull the trigger. So can anyone shed some light on this flickering issue?

I dont' think the flicker issue is fixed. If you run your projector in Normal mode, avoid running it for more than 6 hours straight (<--as stated in the manual) , and clean your filter every 100 hours. You will be fine.

This is the only issue that has held me up from replacing my PTa500 with the new AX200. I was wondering the same, has Panny fixed it being they are running a two year production of the 200. Have they even admitted to the problem? Also I was wondering I am yet to find even one Refurb 200 on sale, where are all the Refurbs if this problem was so wide spread? Has panny stated there was a problem with the 200 and flickering, seems some has stated panny replaces the bulb and sends it back. This is hardly a fix seems in another 500hrs with the same use it will be flickering again. Can any one shed more light on the "Cleaning of the unit" fix to solve the flicker issue? I have also read that running the unit in High lamp for 500hrs then lowing it to low will lower the flicker possibilities! Any one else have any remedies?

Seems the panny's put out a great picture compared to the completion and always have but there always seems to be some issue surrounding every model, my pta500 was the Vertical Banding issue which I can see just ever so slightly on mine! I now have over 4000hrs on my orig bulb and have enjoyed the PJ, would love to get another 5 years 4000hrs out of a AX200 if possible.
