I mean does laservue suffer from any other problems like motion blur, low motion resolution, rainbows, green phosphor trails(it probably doesn't even use phosphors), bad geometry, etc? Also, do you think the price will come down a lot and will they have a smaller size in 2009?
Stopped making them. Supposed to be fixing a problem.

Despite all the hype, I feel that RPTV's are about the worst technology out there today, and, to my knowledge, only Mitsubishi and Samsung still make them. They made some sense back when a 50" 720p plasma went for $20k, and are sort of the "low cost big screen". They are very directional (far more so than any LCD today), are dim and have an uneven screen brightness, being dim around the edges with a bright spot in the center. The only way to avoid this uneven illumination would be to sit very far back, and that would defeat the purpose of having a big screen in the first place! If you buy one of these, I think you will have a real dinosaur on your hands in a couple of years!

Why is this even in the Flat Panel forum? There is still a Rear Projection forum - it belongs there.
