So my brother tried turning his TV on this morning & it wouldn't even blink a green light like most mitsubishi TV's do when there's a problem with them I've tried changing outlets & leaving it unplugged for while & nothing any ideas? could it be the power cord even though it's tucked away nicely

No power at all / no blinking light could be a few things. If you are not comfortable opening back of Tv and using voltmeter then suggest you call for service...

1. Main AC fuse on power supply.
2. Bad button on front panel not allowing startup. Check for voltages on connector LE or LE2.
3. Main board failure

I tried your suggestions(thanks by the way)the fuse & the front panel boards looked fine it's definitely something else if it is the main board any ideas on the repair cost?
