I had an aging bulb that was starting to fade, but also give off a green tint to all white scenes. I attributed it to the aging bulb. Instead of replacing the entire assembly, I just replaced the bulb. I soon noticed the green tint was worse than ever. I decided to try reseating the bulb assembly in a desparate attempt to fix the green tint issue. Now, I cannot get the TV to recognize the bulb at all. The Power/Standby light flashes red three times. The bulb assembly is clicked into place, the bulb door is closed securely. i tried to old bulb... no luck

My quiestion is can the problems with the lamp be an entirely separate problem from the green tint issue I had with the new bulb? This was dramatic green tint that was still present when I set the input back to the factory Standard setting. Do I have two problems? A burnt out bulb sensor or bad bulb assembly, and possibly a problem with the optic engine?

Can anyone recommend someone I can contact for service in the New Haven COnnecticurt area?

In the meantime, I ordered a factory fresh xl-2400 replacement to rule out the bulb assembly. But honestly, can an assembly "break"? I think I am screwed. I probably damaged the sensors that allow the TV to recognize that the bulb has been replaced and/or fried the system board, and I also have a grotesque green tint issue that has nothing to do with the bulbs...

Any advice would be great while I wait for my new bulb to arrive.
