Hello, I am a first-time user of this forum and I need anyone’s help.
I have the 8300HDC form TWC in Durham, NC (Navigator Mystro, I believe).

I bought the Iomega DVR extender and hooked it up per the directions. The drive had to be formatted and I can see the space available % has dropped significantly, so it looks like the drive was recognized. The problem is that I can no longer record anything from the DVR. The scheduled recordings no longer work, although I can see them in my “scheduled recordings” screen. If I try to record manually by pressing the REC button while the show is being broadcast, the REC image appears briefly on the banner, but the red RECORD light on the DVR never activates and the show is not recorded.

If I disconnect the eSATA and reboot the DVR, the space available goes back to the original % (before the ESATA was installed), and all automatic and manual recordings work fine.

I have tried numerous re-installs/reboots of the eSATA drive and the space available always improves, but the DVR will no longer record.

I would appreciate any advice on this issue. Also, If anyone knows how to access the diag screen please let me know. thx

You've got the same problem everyone else around the area seems to be having with add on drives after they updated the Navigator software. The people updating the software clearly didn't test it out before they sent out the update. This has been going on for weeks now and no solution seems to be in order. It was working fine until they did the update. Now I'm afraid I'm going to lose all my recordings I had all cause they failed to test. I can't record anything till they fix the problem.

thx Wolfpack97 and edwarto, so it sounds like it is not the drive.
Do you know how to access the diag screen to check the softare version?
