I am looking at a Salamander Synergy stand for a 58" / 60" tv, viewing from about 9'. I was looking at either a 21" or 31" stand plus about 2" added for wheels. Would the 31" be to high?

Would it also be safe to move the stand (using the wheels) to access the back cables etc with a 60" TV on top?

Thanks in advance.

1) for me, yes. my 60" is on a 20 inch high stand, and when i'm sitting in my recliner, i'm looking almost exactly one third of the way up from the bottom of the screen. i tried different heights of stands before settling on 20 inches as the most comfortable for me. that in no way means that 31 wouldn't be the most comfortable for you. to me, it was worth the time and effort to go through a little experimenting to find the "right" height, since my carcass is parked in front of the tv on a daily basis. :)

2) carefully, yes. i'd secure the tv to it.
