Well, here it goes again. Philips model number 60pp9200d/37. Bottom of the line 720p hd from 3 or 4 years ago. Getting to the point where it's becoming a disaster.

After a thorough lens cleaning and fluid change, followed by several hours of measuring, calibration, and setup, the TV now has a new problem. All of the inputs on the main input board on the back- that's the HDMI, HDCVI, s-video, and two of the composite video inputs- show 100% green. The only input that functions properly on the entire television is the composite on the side. This is obviously unacceptable, since I need to connect multiple things to this tv and watch it in HD. The 'green wave' had been happening sporadically since I got the tv, but now it seems permanent. I get the feeling its something on the board that died or a wire that is shorted or unplugged. When the green wave is in effect, the green gun can't even be turned down manually with the knob inside of the tv. If I can't find it i'll probably just have to get a new set. Just when I had the picture all calibrated and ready to go, too. Very frustrating! Anybody have any help?!?

Instant update: I decided that the input board was fried. I took a bottle of computer duster and blew the crap out of it. Then I used a bottle of Deoxit Gold to drown the board and clean out all of the gunk. The HDMI input now works fine, I don't really care to test the other inputs for fear of messing something up. My plan now is to just leave it alone and hope it keeps working.

That was a little scary.

Do you know where the gunk came from?

Probably just age- this happens to all electronic connections over time. It's also possible that there was a cracked or loose solder or something that just needed to be lubricated or moved around by the compressed air duster. Either way, I'm certainly not arguing with the results.

I've used this same can of Deoxit Gold to fix and clean two guitar amps, the electronic throttle body on my girlfriends VW (a supposedly non serviceable 900 dollar part) several vintage stereo receivers, and now my TV. It's 22 dollars for a very small spray can, but it's 22 dollars very, very well spent. :)
