Hi,

I just moved into a new home and the master bedroom, which is big, has an awkward set-up, b/c of 2 windows, huge closet doors, which take up 1 whole wall, bathroom door, and entrance door. B/c of this, there is only one place to put the bed and there is no "good" place to put my small 22" LCD tv. For now, it's sitting on a nightstand right next to the entry door with the tv aimed towards the bed. This set-up has the back of the tv(all cords and wires) visible to anyone who enters the room...in fact, it's the first thing anyone notices. Was considering putting the tv on a stand at the foot of my bed, but that still leaves the "seeing the back of the tv and all wires and cords" problem, so I wonder about putting the tv in a storage chest(which I haven't purchased yet) and when I want to watch tv, I could open the top and lift the tv up. I've scoured google for answers to this or ideas, but all I get are motorized lift hits and I really don't need a motorized lift. I have no problems lifting this small tv myself.

I just don't know how to build something like this. I would buy chest already made and thought about putting tv on a shelf that I could raise and lower by hand if it was on rails of some sort. Any ideas? Help? Suggestions? I really want a tv in my bedroom, but don't see many other options.
