Hi Guys,

I can really use some help please. I am spending a lot of money on the equipment for my Living Room/ Movie Room and I am worried about the setup and bad acoustic properties. I use this room for entertaining guests, but when it comes to A/V use the breakdown is:

50% Movies, 25% Video Games and 25% Music

Room Details:

My room has marble floor :( I will have 2 Large 3-Seater Fabric Sofas, 2 Large Fabric Chairs and 2 Fabric Poofs, along with Heavy Curtains on the 3 Windows to help with acoustics in the Room.

I want to place all subs at the bottom of the feature wall cabinet with a mesh grill in front.

Please see attachment for 3D render

Please see 2nd attachment for room layout courtesy of Soundoctor
The Positioning of the chairs in the layout has been changed to the left wall so now one of the 3 Seater Sofa will be against back wall facing the screen and speakers

I am spending more than I ever have on equipment and I want to make sure it is awesome!

My Options So Far Are:

Option 1:
- Classe SSP-800 Processor (No Room Correction )
- Classe CA-5200 Power Amp
- B&W Signature 8NT inwalls with Back Boxes x 3 (Fronts)
- B&W DS8 inwalls with Back Boxes (Rears)
- JL Audio F112 Subwoofer

Option 2:
- Lyngdorf DPA-1 (WITH Room Correction)
- Lyngdorf TDAI 200
- Lyngdorf SDA-2175
- Onkyo 906 for Center, Rears and Sub (Lyngdorf Subs don't go deep enough for movies but kick ass for music)
- Lyngdorf DP-1 Speakers (Front Left and Right)
- Sunfire XT Series Center and rears OR MK Sound Inwall 150s
- 2 X Lyngdorf B-1 Subs (Music)
- 1 JL Audio F112 sub (Movies and Games)

My main Issues/Questions are as follows:

Do I Need Room Correction?
My room has marble floor and I want to place all 3 subs at the bottom of a cabinet with a mesh grill in front. I will have 3 Large 3-Seater Fabric Sofas and Heavy Curtains on the 3 Windows to help with acoustics in the Room. As it is also a living room and not just a cinema room, I can't put acoustic treatments all over the place. The Lyngdorf/Onkyo Setup has both Audessy and Lyngdorf Room Correction, where as the Classe Gear has nothing.

When I auditioned the Lyngdorf system it was awesome! The rep turned the room correction on and off and the difference was unbelieveable. The Bass went from Boomy to controlled, The sound stage became more enveloping...

The Price for both options is about the same. Would you just add Audyssey to the Classe Setup?

Will the Marble Floor Ruin the entire experience and therefore shall I reduce my budget?

Are there very discrete acoustic treatments?

Can someone recommend an acoustic specialist who can give me some advice on this without charging me a million bucks?

As this is my first somewhat Hi-End system I would like to get advise form people who have the experience.

THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR THE HELP!
