I was wondering if there is high quality music recordings available on BD? I'm not talking about music videos, just music? Is there such a thing? A search here didn't turn up anything.

lol.....I hear ya. I am VERY tempted to blind buy this, but man I hate paying that much for 67minutes worth of music (right?).....I wish this could be rented at the very least but no luck there. I will probably just break down and buy it at some point due to the overwhelming positive feedback.

There are also a couple other Blu-ray releases from 2-L (Norwegian producers of Trondheim Solistene Divertimenti) which you can check out on their website: http://www.2l.no/2L.htm.

You may find the Blu-ray music offerings from Surround Records on amazon.com to be of interest as well, although I still haven't heard any of them personally and they are also not available for rent. There are two distinct product lines: "Acoustic Reality Experience" which is comprised of established classical recordings and "Music Experience in 3-Dimensional Sound Reality" which are original surround-sound music works by Alexander Jero. You should be able to search for both of those quoted terms on amazon to bring up a full listing.

The "Acoustic Reality Experience" BDs are nothing more than fake 24/96 and/or fake 7.1 re-issues by another studio on a new format at a higher price.
