What sheen did you guys use for the faux paint. Home depot has a good sale going on right now and I don't know what sheen for the base and what sheen for the top coat (glaze).

Faux finishing that I've done and some that I've paid for usually have flat for the base coat. elvalle 04-21-09, 10:13 AM I will be doing the ragging technique. I gues flat would work for the base. I just wasn't sure what the top coat should be. Every time I have seen the top it looks like it is somewhat glossy. Maybe that why its called Glaze. Cathan 04-21-09, 10:47 AM The glaze that is used for faux paint is naturally shiny. Maybe it is possible to tone it down with some matte spray or something. elvalle 04-21-09, 10:53 AM Ahhh, Thats what i figured. Thank you so much. I guess I will go with a flat or eggshell base. I will leave the glaze as is. |
